SOME IMPORTANT PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTIONS

~ George Clooney photo from the Internet
so, in the movie last night,
Vera Whazzername strides about naked,
wearing only George's tie
around her oh-so-shapely waist
while Clooney lies there,
sheet almost up to his chin...
now I ask you,
what's up with this?
What's wrong with this picture?
Who makes these movies?
The last thing I need
to be reminded of
is how great she looks naked
and still not get a peek
at George...
old, movie-making men
give me my money's worth!
Lucky for you
it was young at heart day
and I only had to pay
four bucks to get in.

BUCKET LIST

"Chicago" ~digitalized photo by S. Auberle

This photo has nothing to do with the post.
I just came across it and like it.
The post is actually about bucket lists.
January seems like a good time to work on one.
Do you have yours? Here's mine:
live for three months on a Greek Island
sing with a blues band
live for six months on a Greek Island
learn piano OR guitar
learn the Argentinian tango (in Argentina)

OH TOTO

Sky Woman has returned. Though the desert and mountains are beautiful, I'm glad to be back to the land of winter, trees and big water. Still no poem, but lots of material. And ideas. And some very bizarre dream images. I wonder if traveling to a new place stimulates new dreaming? Some images were a tower, and white wolves and a woman with too much baggage. (could definitely be me--in more ways than one.) All in all, a grand trip. But, as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz said--oh Toto, there's no place like home...

SKY WOMAN

Digital Photo Collage by S. Auberle

A sky woman I will be, flying off to the West tomorrow, assuming an approaching snowstorm allows it. Like this beautiful Native poem, I will admire cloud shapes, hope they bring thoughts and words, for a first poem of this new year, this new decade. None have yet arrived. Inspiration is needed. What better than the friendly skies? There will be a new poem, I'm sure, when I return...
